Lime Sgroppino

Elevate Your Dinner: Sgroppino Recipe with Alma Limoncello

Looking for the perfect after-dinner cocktail that also doubles as a delicious dessert? Look no further: the Sgroppino, a luxurious and sparkling Venetian classic. This chilled and airy mix is the ultimate palate cleanser and a guaranteed way to recharge and finish any meal on a high note.

Our recipe uses ALMA Verde Limoncello—a handcrafted, low-sugar liqueur made from organic limes and crafted by women in Mexico.
Its vibrant lime flavour gives a unique twist to the traditional Sgroppino, turning it into a truly unforgettable experience.

Sgroppino with Alma Limoncello Ingredients (per glass)

Ingredient Quantity Notes
Lime sorbet 1 large scoop Essential for that icy and airy texture.
ALMA Verde Limoncello 40 ml (1.3 oz) The secret to its vibrant and unique lime flavour.
Prosecco 80 ml (2.7 oz) Use a dry sparkling wine (Brut or Extra Dry).
Garnish (optional) Mint leaf or lime zest For a polished and aromatic finish.

Instructions: How to Prepare Your Perfect Sgroppino

You can make it quickly with a hand whisk for a light, rustic texture, or use a blender for a smoother and more airy foam.

Chill Your Glassware: Place champagne flutes, coupe glasses or wine glasses in the freezer for at least 10 minutes. This is key to keeping the Sgroppino at the ideal slushy texture.

Combine the Base: In a small bowl or blender, combine the lime sorbet and Alma Limoncello.

Blend to Perfection:
Blender Method: Blend on high speed for just a few seconds until smooth, creamy and foamy. Do not over-blend.

Add the Sparkle: Pour the mixture into your chilled glass. Top with the remaining cold Prosecco. The drink should have a light, frothy head.

Garnish & Serve: Finish with a fresh mint sprig or delicate lime zest.

Serve immediately as a refreshing and vibrant finale to your dinner.
This frozen dessert-cocktail is famous for its digestive properties and its wonderful ability to cleanse the palate after a rich meal, leaving you feeling light and revitalised.
